For Cecelia Battle, design is in her DNA, dating back to her great, great grandfather, TJ Collins, a pioneering architect in Virginia, her grandfather and uncle, both architects and painters, as well as her mother and aunt who are artists and painters.
Cecelia’s designs incorporate a variety of methods and materials, including torch-fired enamels, hand-forged metals & magical elements, some with kinetic energy. Cecelia loves collecting treasures & unique gemstones from her travels, and is inspired to create pieces that tell a story or invoke a special feeling for the wearer of her art. She enjoys combining the strong rugged looks of copper, sterling silver, rose gold and brass, along with some feminine sparkle and color. By blending gemstones, crystals and a variety of unique beads made by fabulous artists from around the world, Cecelia creates a fanciful, sophisticated look, with a touch of whimsy.
Cecelia is inspired by vibrant colors and nature, which you can see reflected in her jewelry designs, as well as her watercolor, pastel & acrylic paintings. She hopes her creations will inspire and ignite your inner artist.
