Dear Friends,

I am inviting you to meet and celebrate the 48 amazing local Artists of HorseSpirit in “Finish Strong!” at the Artist Opening Reception on Saturday, October 7, 1-4 pm. This is a rolling show, so Artists will continually bring in new artwork until the Gallery doors close for the last time, December 31.

On a personal note, I have run HorseSpirit Arts Gallery for 10 years, surviving Ellicott City’s two devastating floods, the Pandemic, and the ensuing turbulent economic times; the Gallery is much more than a business to me. The Gallery is the medium through which I share my artistic vision, support others in theirs, and the home of a very special Art community.

It is with humility that I have learned that true grit, resilience, and unwavering support from Gallery Artists is not enough to keep us going. Making the decision to close HorseSpirit has been heart wrenching, and announcing my decision was even harder.

I am, and will always be, enormously grateful for the love and support you have shown me, the Artists, and the Galley Staff over this past decade.

Thank you and I am honored to have been welcomed into your hearts and homes through art.
