Savage, MD - Just a short walk down to the water from HorseSpirit Arts Gallery stands the Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge, an example of revolutionary American bridge building and the oldest  standing  iron bridge in the country. I made my way down to the water's edge to capture color on a cold winter Maryland day, and I found it in the water. I love using big shapes of color as important  design  elements to my pieces. The viewer's eye travels around the  "representational" dimensions  of the painting  from afar, but when standing  close they experience big shapes of color.
