Cecelia Battle
Cecelia Battle is an accomplished jewelry maker and artist. She is inspired by vibrant colors and beautiful nature, which is reflected in her jewelry designs and her watercolor, pastel, and acrylic paintings.
Cecelia has an AA in Advertising Design from Montgomery College and a BA in Design from American University. She continues to further her education, which often takes her on interesting artistic journeys.
After working several years as an illustrator at IBM, Cecelia stayed at home with her two adopted children. During that time, she worked as a freelance artist creating graphic designs, paintings, murals, and jewelry.
Cecelia’s latest creative passion is working with fire, glass, and metal to make unique jewelry designs. She uses various methods and materials, including silver-smithing, hand-forged metals, and magical elements, some with kinetic energy. Cecelia collects treasures and unique gemstones from her travels and is inspired to create pieces that tell a story or invoke a special feeling for the wearer of her art.
Cecelia’s art is available at the HorseSpirit Arts Gallery in Savage, MD, as well as The Muse in Frederick, MD, and Gallery 301 in Cumberland, MD. In addition, she has shown her art at the Columbia Art Center, Slayton House, Saville Gallery, Montpelier Art Center, Howard County Center of the Arts, and the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.
