zeigenfusNancy Ziegenfus-McIntosh

Raku Works

prettyvase_smallNancy Ziegenfus-McIntosh has been working as a functional potter since 1974. Clay and teaching have been Nancy’s passions since undergraduate school.  She has been fortunate to have been able to combine these two passions throughout her career.

earthpot_smallSince 1980, Nancy has lived, taught and worked as a potter in Maryland.  She recently retired from MCPS/J.H. Blake High School where she had been teaching ceramics and sculpture for 30 years.

graytea_smallNancy does both hand built and thrown stoneware pieces (primarily functional), as well as Raku fired works (decorative). Nancy still teaches at the Art Center in Columbia-Long Reach, as well as at Howard Community College, while still producing her work.  As well she exhibits her work at HorseSpirit Arts Gallery in Ellicott City, MD.
